How to protect your business against digital violence?

Selling on social media, digital services, entrepreneurship: more and more women are building their economic independence through digital tools. It is a strength, an achievement. But this space can also become a minefield: malicious fake reviews, account hacking, identity theft, targeted scams. These attacks are not accidents, they can be used deliberately to intimidate, discredit and hold back women’s economic activity online, wiping out months or even years of work.

This capsule gives practical steps to protect yourself: secure your business accounts with long, unique passwords and two-factor authentication; be wary of suspicious requests (urgent payments, personal information, offers that are too good to be true); check the identity of the people you deal with before any transaction; and report and block without delay.

If you are a victim, don’t feel guilty: keep the evidence, report the facts, block the perpetrator, ask for help. This violence defines neither your worth nor the quality of your work. Digital tools are a means to success, let’s not let violence drive us away from them.
